The Short Answer: OhChat's Call Layer Stays Unproven

Every OhChat ad promises a voice that sounds like she's actually on the line. An ad isn't a spec sheet, though. Before you hand over a card number, here's what we could confirm about that call and what we couldn't.

Short version: I'd start with GoLove.ai, because its call setup is documented end to end. It has a phone icon in every chat, a voice picker set per character, and a published PRO price.

Real talk — we could not confirm OhChat's call latency, voice realism, cross-call memory or call pricing, so its voice pitch stays unproven for us. That doesn't mean those features are bad or missing. It means nothing we could verify backs them up. Superlatives aren't evidence (if they were, every app in this space would be "indistinguishable from a real person").

No bait-and-switch here, so know this up front: voice messages and calls on GoLove are PRO features. Joining is free, though. The no-cost first move is picking whose voice you'd actually want to hear before you pay for anything.

Now the evidence, claim by claim.

Latency and Turn-Taking Matter More Than 'Realism'

Look, a voice call lives or dies in the gaps. Two things decide whether it feels like a conversation. One is response delay — the beat between you finishing a sentence and her starting one. The other is interruption handling: what she does when you talk over her. A gorgeous voice that stalls before every reply feels like a bad satellite link. A plainer voice that answers promptly feels like someone's actually there. We could not confirm how OhChat handles either one.

Voice Realism: Claimed, Not Shown

Memory Between Calls and the Price of a Minute

Three questions decide what a call actually costs you. Does OhChat remember the previous call? Which plan do calls sit on? Are they billed per minute or in credits? Before You Pay for OhChat Calls: Five Things to Check

This is the verification job we couldn't finish, handed to you. Check each of these on OhChat's own pricing and help pages before you pay:

• Tier: which plan unlocks live calls, as opposed to voice messages. Those are often separate line items.
• Billing: whether calls are billed per minute, in credits, or included in the plan, and what happens when the balance runs out mid-call. Does the call just cut off, or does the app prompt you to top up?
• Memory: does she recall the last call, or only the text chat?
• Voice options: can you pick or change her voice for each character?
• Refund and cancellation terms, in case you regret the subscription. Look for the exact cancellation path, not just a promise that one exists.

Straight up — if any of these answers is buried three clicks deep or worded vaguely, treat that as the answer.

The Phone Icon in Every Chat

GoLove keeps the entry point boring, which is a compliment. Every chat has a phone icon, and tapping it starts a live, real-time voice call with that character. You don't need a separate app, and you don't have to dig through nested menus for a "call mode." Voice messages and calls are PRO features. PRO runs about $19.99/month, or about $119.88/year (roughly $9.99/month) billed annually; ULTRA, the tier above, runs about $59.99/month. Those figures were checked in 2026-10 and vary by region and promo.

The settings panel has three controls, and getting to them takes four steps:

1. Open a chat with the character, then open Chat Settings.
2. Pick her voice from the voice picker.
3. Set Lust Level: 5 levels, from 1 (sweet and wholesome) to 5 (unfiltered and intense).
4. Set Response Length: 5 levels, from 1 (short and snappy) to 5 (rich and immersive).

The screenshot shows the same chat loop with a different character. All three controls sit in one Chat Settings panel, and every setting is saved per character, so the voice you picked for one companion doesn't bleed into the next one. That's a small detail, and it's actually decent.

Hear Her Voice Before You Dial

Every character message has a voice playback button, and that's your preview. You hear the voice she'll use before you commit to a live call. People lump the preview and the call together a lot, but they test different things. Playback tells you whether you like the voice. The call tells you whether the timing works. Scorecard: OhChat, GoLove.ai and Character.AI on Calls

Character.AI wins the price row outright, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. It's free to start, and c.ai+ costs about $9.99/month with unlimited voice calls. GoLove doesn't beat that on cost. One catch on GoLove's side is that the 8,000-message memory is ULTRA, not PRO, so don't buy PRO expecting it. GoLove's prices also vary by region and promo, so the number you see may differ from ours. We could not confirm whether call content itself feeds memory on any of the three apps.

After You Hang Up: Photos and Video From the Same Character

Here's how the sequence plays out. You hang up and stay in the same chat. You don't open a new tab or a new app. You tap the media button, choose Send Photo, and describe the scene in your own words. A photo of that same character arrives in about 20 to 45 seconds, for 1 Star. Her face and body stay consistent with her avatar and her earlier photos. Under the photo, a one-tap Generate Video button turns that scene into a roughly 5-second clip in about a minute, for 10 Stars.

The screenshot shows the whole arc on mobile: opener, tease, selfie request, delivery. PRO includes 100 Stars every month, restored each billing month. That covers 100 photos, or 10 of those clips, or any mix of the two.

Not gonna lie, this is the part that matters once the call ends. How she sounds on the phone is only half of it. The other half is whether the conversation keeps going with the same character, without you having to find her again somewhere else. Series is GoLove's own Netflix-style shelf of 18+ vertical short dramas, and every one of them stars GoLove characters. As of 2026-10-12 there are 5 series with 32 episodes. Cheap, unlimited SFW voice calls? Then Character.AI's c.ai+ at about $9.99/month is the honest pick, because it wins on price. OhChat may be fine. Until its call tier, billing and memory hold up against the checklist above, though, it stays unproven. For adult voice calls, GoLove.ai is my pick. The call, the per-character voice, the photos and the 5-second clips all come from the same character in the same chat. That all runs on PRO, priced in the phone-icon section above.
